The Illawarra Counselling centre provides confidential assessment,counselling and support for children, adolescents, adults and couples for a broad range of work and life issues. These include issues around relationships, family, conflict, drug and alcohol abuse, stress, depression, grief and loss, work-life balance and many other commonly presented problems

Children and Adolescents

More than 75% of all severe mental illnesses occur prior to the age of 25. While a significant proportion of young people experience mental health problems .It has been reported that only one-in-four young people with a mental health problem receives professional help.[ ABS: The 2007 National Survey of Mental Health and Wellbeing (SMHWB) The Illawarra Counselling Centre has experienced psychologists available to provide support.

Solicitors and Insurers

Illawarra Counselling Centre psychologists provide assessment and treatment for people with Workcover (Workers Compensation), CTP (motor vehicle accident) claims and for The Lifetime Care and Support Scheme. With these referrals there is usually no fee to the client as we will invoice the insurer or payer directly. We will require a referral from your GP and we will follow up approval from the insurer prior to commencing therapy.
